Mike and team did an amazing job planning, designing and making our dream master bath-walkin closet and Kitchen come true. He listened to what we wanted, helped to select the best materials for our life style and valued our concerns during the construction process. His team was amazing when at the house. I WFH and they ensured that the work they did, didn't interfere with my job. My kitchen is an absolute dream and the new shower makes showering so much more enjoyable than with the older one. 100% would recommend! And will continue to use them for future projects.

Mike is down to earth and has great ideas on how to maxamize every decision. Whether that be changing a small area to a spice drawer or taking out a soffet. He suggested the drawer where I could put my garbage (so good) NOW.... I dont have before pictures but let's say the kitchen was not updated since the house was built. They absolutely smashed it. Quick, clean and no hassles. Oh yeah, they cut those two huge look throughs in the kitchen walls and made the island. Wow, just wow. Thank you Shay and your crew!! See you in a couple weeks when you install our new flooring!! Dont waste your time- just call Mike

If you are looking for a company that focuses on communication, quality, and professionalism then Shay Construction is as far as you need to go. We used them for a tile job in a church basement bathroom and they exceeded all our expectations. I'm sure this was a small job to them, but they treated it like it was a full renovation. From the bid process to the final inspection everything was above board and communicated with us. Two things stand out to me, not because they were big things, but because they were small things that they treated as big things. 1. The first set of tiles that were tried fit and could have been made to work, but since they didn't fit without lots of finagling, they went out and picked up new tiles that fit AND matched even better. We didn't ask for this, it just didn't look "right" to them so they addressed it, and 2. We had to keep a door open, and lots of leaves got blown into the hallway. I figured I'd just sweep everything up once they'd left, but I came out of the office and everything was cleaner than I'd left it. Simple attention to detail, great communications, and professionalism throughout the whole process, great job!

I recently had a media wall built by Shay Construction in Antioch, Illinois, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. Mike truly executed my vision exactly the way I wanted—it actually exceeded all of my expectations. The craftsmanship and professionalism are outstanding. We had Shay Construction remodel a room and bathroom in our home, and overall we had a great experience. The team was professional, communicative, and delivered quality work that we’re very happy with. There was a minor issue during construction, but once we brought it to their attention, they addressed it promptly and made it right. We hired Mike to fix our kitchen ceiling do to water damage, they repaired the kitchen ceiling, installed upgraded led can lights with a dimmer, they re-hung cabinets that were removed do to the water damage. They painted the entire ceiling and matched the color perfectly. They were really thorough with their cleanup . We will definitely be hiring Shay again for other projects. After getting several estimates from other local companies, we decided to go with Shay Construction for our bathroom remodel. We are so happy with our decision! Our new bathroom is gorgeous and so much more functional, with the new design, than our old one was. Mike and Joe were a pleasure to work with. It was convenient to take the short drive to town to meet at their showroom to pick out our new vanity countertop and get ideas for tile. I would highly recommend Shay Construction! I'm sure we will use them again!

We contracted with Shay to add three new structural support beams to our older home. There was significant settling and challenges that one might expect to find in an older home. The Shay team handled everything with ease, were able to correct the sagging floor and restored an inside crawlspace access hatch that had been covered by the previous owner. They also installed a new window in our laundry area adding some much needed light. We are extremely happy with the result and will definitely be using Shay for future projects!

We purchased a house in the area several months back and a big priority was to have the existing deck removed and replaced with stairs. We worked with Mike, Joe and their team to get this done and it looks great. Job well done! Earlier in the summer Shay also removed a portion of a paver drive way, re-leveled the base and replaced the pavers. Looks great as well. We will be repeat customers.

Just finished making my screen porch s 3 season room. Working with Shay Construction was the right way to go. Joe and Mike have very good carpenters and their painter, Paul was a perfectionist and excellent.The floor installers were quick and perfect as well. Shay Construction just finished a kitchen and bathroom remodel for me. They were very professional, prompt with their quote reasonable priced and always responsive to my questions. They were very helpful with the design, choosing kitchen cabinets and countertop. They provided guidance in picking tiles and other accessories. During demolition their workers were mindful and kept it as clean as possible. They made sure everything was cleaned up every day when they quit work. All contractors/workers were very professional. I love my new kitchen and especially my new bathroom with steam shower.
